The flame of luxury
Candle is a business news platform for the luxury lifestyle industry in India. This digital magazine ‘provides a comprehensive and high-quality perspective on luxury’. The name ‘Candle’ came from the client, their goal, to shine light on the global and Indian luxury market.

Truetype worked on the identity systems for the platform. We created a wordmark as the masthead of the magazine with the word Candle, where the ‘a’ is designed to be a flame. As a system, the primary font Pangaia was used to have a unique identity for an editorial platform like theirs and also closely resembles the wordmark.
The colour palette is intentionally warm and muted, drawing from the colours of a flame that throws light on the luxury market in regards with the Indian consumers.
